You need a set of clear requirements in order to produce an accurate Statement of Work for your email migration project.   Ensure a technical person is involved in the writing of the Statement of Work.  Too often I have been given a project to deliver based on an agreed Statement of Work that I had no input on – which then proved to be unrealistic and full of inaccurate assumptions.
